no second hole after all - 09:30 AM
i have a week's reprieve on the tongue front. i went to the piercing place yesterday to get the second hole re-done but it was still very sore & the frenulum (the little string thing under the tongue) was a bit swollen still so the general consensus was that it'll have to wait another week. i'd left the barbell in so she could see by how much she had to re-align the new hole, but i think perhaps that's what was making it more difficult to do. so i've taken it out & by the time i go back next saturday, it should be all back to normal & i can happily have a second hole poked in my tongue. third time lucky perhaps.
i was a little disappointed that i couldn't have it done but on the other hand i do want it to look good & i really only want to have one more go at it. four times would be a little too much i'm afraid. i actually felt more than a little bit queasy about it this time. i haven't felt that way before about a piercing. i think perhaps it was because when she tried to place the clamps it hurt a bit. it was still a little swollen & sore from the week before. if i'd taken the barbell out for a couple of days before it might have been okay, but hey, you get that. so in the end i was kind of glad that it's been put off, i felt like i might have fainted otherwise!
since i couldn't have my tongue done i bought myself a new bit for my belly. i got a bent barbell with a large jewel on the bottom & a smaller jewel on the top. kind of electric blue colour. very pretty. 
one day when i have a digital camera i can put pictures here for you so you can see these things.
