not drowning, waiting - 09:20 PM
got what amounts to a second rejection letter today, but it's a blanket "thank-you-for-your-resume-but-we-can't-help-you" email from an agency. same old catch-22 situation that every new graduate is in. need the experience but can't get it because no one will employ someone without experience.
i can see that i'm not going to get anywhere by sitting on my bum & waiting for an agency to find me a job. i'm going to have to get out there & perhaps even do some work for free just so that i can get some experience under my belt & into my resume.
it's a pity that a nice shiny new listing in my resume doesn't put food in the fridge though. ah well, i'm not as down about this as you might think from reading this entry. i'm not down about it at all actually.
i feel like i had a fairly productive day today. updated my paper resume & my online resume. i'm not going to give out the url here though because it has my address on it & who knows what sort of freaks read my diary every day!!! i don't mean you of course! 
i even helped my sweetheart in the garden a bit today .. 'bit' being the operative word i'm afraid. i moved about ten bricks & i was stuffed! hmmm. note to self: get more fit.
by the way, everybody say "happy birthday!!!" loudly to mungbean!!! it's her nineteenth birthday today! happy birthday from both of us, mung!! mcgarnicle the magical dog says happy birthday, too. "woof!"
