i did more gardening with my love today. we're taking the pool out of the backyard & part of this involves removing the fence. sounds like an easy task but some of the poles have been cemented in with a tonne of concrete so they're proving rather difficult to move. the sledgehammer broke so we were taking turns at beating the concrete away in pieces from the bottom of the pole (so we can reuse the fencing out the front) with a crow bar. there's something to be said for using the right tool for the job. my arms are going to be killing me tomorrow!
i'm not afraid of a bit of hard work but it's more physical work than what i'm used to. at least i lasted longer than yesterday. hmm .. i'd prefer to be the cold-drink-bearing saviour coming to the aid of my hard working man than the one throwing around a heavy crow bar. i'm glad i could help my honey though. he works hard & i don't usually do a lot in the garden. he never asks me to help but he likes it when i pitch in.
