damn computers - 10:30 AM
i'm getting pretty bored at home. i've been doing more of the dummies book but it can only hold my attention for so long you know. i'm still waiting for this new guy that i'll be doing some work with to get back to me about the job he has for me. he's waiting on the clients to get back to him. it's a vicious circle.
the damn computer keeps crashing all the time. takes about seven or eight times to boot up right. the video card is dodgy (something wrong with the fan) so we're going to swap it under warranty so hopefully that might fix some of the problems we've been having.
we wouldn't be having these problems except for the fact that the motherboard that's usually in the computer is in for repair. there's no doubt that it'll be replaced (it was still under warranty) but it's just going to take a while. it has be tested on site at the place we got it from (my dad's computer shop), then sent back to intel, then they'll test it again, then when they feel like it they'll send a replacement to the shop, then we can get it back into our computer. it's been almost a week, but it'll take probably another week or more until we get it back.
