work at home - 10:30 AM
did yesterday's diary entry make any sense? i'd had rather a long day & i was very tired so even though i read it to myself & it makes sense to me i'm not sure that it'll make sense to any of you. i'm still very tired now because my poor sweetheart had to work at home (after hours support) until 1am so i stayed up to keep him company.
you know, it's lucky that i got the job with the guy who's giving me contract work, instead of ending up with some job somewhere that i have to turn up to every day, because now that we don't have any car at all i wouldn't be able to get there! how would that be? start a job one day & the next day i have to call in to say i can't make it for the rest of the week. luckily, with the guy that i'm doing work for, i only have to go there every now & then to pick up any work that can't be sent via email or ftp so i don't have to be there every day. most stuff i can do from home.
this is a real hassle not having any car. i can't go to do any grocery shopping or anything. i'll have to go to the shops sometime soon, i guess i'll have to walk, but i'll only be able to get a few basic grocery items. only what i can carry for a twenty minute walk.
shroom decided that he needed more than two hours sleep so he didn't start at 5am this morning. his mum & dad came to pick him up at 8am instead. that's so nice of them to drive him all the way there & back. that's a very long drive for them. they are really good parents. they always do really nice stuff for both of us.
