i've had the most excellent day today! my honey & i have spent the whole day together in the computer room playing with our various toys. my darling started a new game called 'alpha centauri' that he borrowed from his brother. it's some world domination thing. not a shoot-em-up style one, but one where you have to plan ahead to be able to take over cities & that kind of thing. it's sort of like starcraft. he likes that kind of game. he'd make a good dictator .. lol!!
just recently i downloaded realjukebox & started actively playing with it. i recorded a whole bunch of songs from my cds so i put it on shuffle play while i sit here working at the computer. i downloaded some extra skins for it too & found this really cute one called kids toy with big, bright buttons. it displays the visualisation (you know, like moving shapes that reflect what the music is doing) on what looks like a fold out panel. you can choose from different styles but i've been keeping it set on annabelle the sheep. the sheep dances around to whatever music is playing. it's been keeping me totally amused! just this morning i discovered that you can click on the sheep when the visualisation is undocked to change it to a homeboy, a hippie, a punk, or dressed up in a top hat. i chose the punk.
