new hair colour - 09:55 PM
i recoloured my hair last night. here's a plug: i used l'oréal féria number 65, high sunset. it was better than the last one i used, it didn't colour my scalp really badly. easier to use too. since my hair was fairly dark from the last colour i used, it didn't turn out really, really bright, but i wasn't really wanting it to be big time bright anyway. it's turnd out a nice dark copper colour. in the sun you can really see the red.
i showed my darling man the box last night before i used it & this morning after he woke up he asked me if i was going to colour my hair today. he's so funny .. i sat there in the computer room with him for half an hour last night with my hair all gooped up & a towel around my shoulders, but he was so wrapped up in his game of unreal tournament that he didn't even notice! anyway, i told him to pull back the curtain to let the sun shine on my hair & then he saw it & said "wow!"
as per usual, after sitting at the computer for most of the day i ended up with a mild migraine by the time i went to bed, so i feel rather dopey this morning. i did take some tablets before i went to sleep but i must still have a bit of a hangover from the migraine.
our new car's going really well now after all the initial trouble with it. i got to drive it to the shops last night when i went out to do some grocery shopping. it really is a pleasure to drive. it's the newest car that my sweetheart & i have ever owned. i've driven newer cars before but never one of my own.
well, after much deliberation, i decided to obliterate all capital letters from my site. i really like the look of all lowercase lettering but the pedantic english student in me insisted on keeping at least acronyms & people's names with capitals .. but bugger it, i say!! bugger it for the sake of artistic integrity!! bugger it because it's my site & i can do what the hell i want to with it, that's why!! okay, now i did cave on the quotes box issue. they aren't my words so i don't feel i have the right to rip the capitals right out of the throats of them. a fair compromise i think.
[edit, sunday 22nd june 2003: i don't have the quotes box anymore. basically, it was a box with cool quotes from various famous or not famous people, which would fade out & then into the next quote. it was pretty cool, but i'm over it now.]
