got a webcam - 02:25 PM
yay! my web cam is up & running & going really well. did you have a look yet? did ya? did ya? hehe, can you tell that i'm pretty excited about it? 
at the moment, i'm using an evaluation version of some software called webcam32. it seems pretty good. while evaluating it though, you have to restart the program every sixty minutes, so at this stage, i can only keep the cam running while i'm at home. i'll be looking at some more software soon to see what else is around.
i tried pointing the cam out the window into the back yard just before but it was too bright for it. i'd like to leave it looking out the window when i'm not here but it may prove to not be possible. i'll try mucking around with the contrast & brightness settings. i'm not sure how much difference it'll make, but hey, it's worth a try.
