fridges & lan parties - 07:20 AM
i have to go to work soon. yuck. i don't really mind working at regents park on wednesday, thursday, friday, but i don't really like working at goodna on saturdays. it's so much busier than regents park. the people never stop coming in the door .. though today i'll be in the fridge for most of the morning. it's a huge fridge that covers almost all of one wall & you can walk into the inside of it where you fill all the drinks from behind. that's what i'll be doing. one of the girls there said that she really likes doing that job & when i first started doing it the week before last, i wondered how she could like such a yucky job, but after a while i started to enjoy it too. you don't have to smile at customers & be ingratiating. you just hang back there with a big warm jacket on & trundle around carrying boxes of drinks in & putting them in their proper places. no one tells you what to do. you just keep going until the job's finished. then of course, i will have to out to the register & smile at customers & be ingratiating but at least i get half the day to just hang & be me & think about whatever i want to think about.
shroom went to a lan (that stands for local area network) party last night. he always stays pretty late when he goes to them. i'm not sure what time he got home, but when he did he set up his computer again & played some more games to wind down. i woke up at quarter past five (in the morning) & he was still playing. then my alarm went off an hour later & he was still there! he really likes his games & completely loses track of the time when he gets into them. he's all snuggled up in bed now. i wish i could be there with him. it's so nice cuddling my sweetheart.
