doggie school & grandma update - 10:40 PM
well, the cam image is working again, phew! it really stressed me out having it non-operational for all that time. it doesn't look as good as the java controlled refresh but at least it's working.
i took the dog to his first day of doggie school this morning. he did so well, i'm really proud of him! i thought he was going to be really resistant to learning anything & to behaving but it only took him a very short while to get into the swing of things. i'll be showing shroom what he learned a little later today. i'll take him out into the back yard & show him off. today we learned how to sit, how to drop, how to heel & how to stay. i was surprised at how quickly all the dogs got used to being around each other. there was a bit of barking at first while everyone was arriving for the beginning of class but they settled down pretty quickly. the magic dog is all tuckered out now. as soon as we got home he settled down under the desk & fell fast asleep!
so have you seen that you can now choose which cam you'd like to view? pretty spesh hey? i suggested something similar to someone else a little while ago but the thought didn't occur to me to try it for my own site until a friend, brian, suggested it. thanks brian.
you can access the new options the same way as you usually get to the cam page but now you can click on a thumbnail to choose to view the computer cam or the bedroom cam. you can open up a pop-up window for each cam so you can look at both at the same time if you wish while still surfing the net or looking around my site.
very soon we should have a third cam operational that'll look over the kitchen/lounge area so you can see all around the house.
more news about my grandma. i heard from mum yesterday morning. she visited grandma & said that she was sitting up & asking how everyone is. that's a good sign. she was very dehydrated so they have her on a drip. some of the medicine she was on was giving her ulcers in her mouth so she hadn't been eating very much, so having nutrients pumped into her body via a drip has to be a good thing. she'll be getting sicker once they start chemotherapy, but hopefully it'll help in the long run.
