surprise cruise - 07:25 PM
well, here's some exciting news. i'm going on a cruise! it's kind of an emergency, would you believe? sort of sad undertones as to why i'm going though. my dad planned to go on a cruise with his mum & dad, & as a surprise, he bought a ticket for mum to come along. now, though, with grandma so sick, mum's not keen to go too far away, so she can't go. it's a real shame for her, but for me it's good because i'm the only other one that is 'free' enough to get away for a week at such short notice .. lucky me! 
so now i have to organise to have some decent clothes to wear on this thing .. apparently, some of the dinners are quite formal & i really don't own any of that type of clothing so it's either borrow some from my mum or if they're no good (don't fit or don't suit me) then i'll be buying something tomorrow. sounds like a pretty good excuse to go shopping.
i'm leaving next monday before lunch & arriving back the monday after that. the ship goes along the coast up to cairns & back. i've never been there so it'll be cool fun. i've never been on a ship before so that'll be a new experience too! i'll be taking the digital camera of course .. i'll take so many pictures.
i wonder if i'll be able to go for a whole week without a computer? ahhhh! hmm, it's a pity that a week without the computer doesn't make you lose weight .. there goes my diet!
