really bad tailors - 07:10 AM
my apologies for yesterday. if you tuned in you would have found that the cam image wasn't updating since about 6am through to 3am the next day. the ftp server that i use was not allowing anyone to connect so none of the new cam images were able to be sent to my site. there was nothing i could do about it except be frustrated. thankfully they did get it fixed in the end. luckily i don't run a business through that server. i'm sure there were some mightily pissed off people around yesterday.
yesterday afternoon i went back to the tailors that i'd left my new skirt at (part of the new outfit that i got for the cruise) to be shortened. now this skirt is a designer skirt, quite expensive & made to look as though it's held together by magic, not a sewing machine .. i.e. no stitching showing. when they took my skirt out of the bag to show me, i took one look at the hem & almost screamed! where there was previously a beautiful blind hem (there's no visible stitching at all), there was now this dirty great top stitching all over my beautiful skirt! i couldn't believe it!! not only should they have hemmed it in the exact same way that it came to them, but it's a flamin' evening dress for crying out loud! evening wear is never made with top stitiching! they're tailors! they should know this!! i'm so angry!
anyway, after going an hour out of my way to collect it, i'll now have to do the same thing again this afternoon to pick it up after they have (hopefully) fixed it. they'd better have used the right needle to stitch that thing up, because if they haven't then there'll be great whopping needle holes all along the hemline. unbelievable. absolutely unbelievable!
