rudegere, live in concert - 08:34 PM

we had the ultrasound today. it was amazing. i knew it would be cool to see rudegere inside me, but it was more awe inspiring than i thought it would be. to see him move around in there was just incredible!

at one stage it looked as though he was sucking on his thumb, but the ultrasound guy didn't think so. i guess he's seen it lots. anyway, we saw his jaw moving & his heart beating away. he moved his arms about a little bit & did some little jiggles back & forth.

(he must know i'm talking about him. he's moving around a bit now.)

we got to take a video of the first few minutes while the doctor had a general look around & he printed up a still picture too. it's not terribly clear, but i'll put it in here once i get it scanned so you can see him, too. if i can, i'll get a digital copy of the video tape as well. that might take a while longer.

i wonder what he thinks about in there? nice stuff, i hope. i wasn't in a really great mood going in there (not helped by a bloody bird pooing on me from above just as we were about to go into the building!!), but i cheered up a bit when i got to see him.

(remember that when i say 'he' we don't know if he's really a boy or a girl, we're just calling him that because i don't like to call him an 'it'. we didn't find out today because we want the surprise.)

anyway, like i said, i hope he's happy in there. i try to feed him well (he's been enjoying the caramel popcorn lately .. *wink* ) & treat him nicely. i talk to him all the time, out aloud (usually in the shower) & in my head. i tell him what type of person i hope he'll be & ask him if he's comfortable in there. i stroke my belly imagining that he might be able to feel it. i doubt that he can, but maybe he feels my emotions toward him.

i'm really looking forward to meeting him outside my belly. it'll be very exciting. i hope he likes me ..

oh, and hurry up and scan the pic!
and also, i might be able to give you some pointers on making your video digital using your tv card, seeing as how i figured out how to hook up my video/video cam to do that. lemme know if you need any help!

You should be pleased about the bird "pooing" on you just before you went for your scan. Here in the UK its considered a very luckey (even if messey) good luck sign.
Interested to hear about having a video of the scan, here they only let you have a still picture even though the equipment has a video facility. I understand its something to do with the medical profession not wanting the person to have any evidence if they make a wrong interpretation!!!! To many potential court cases for negligence.

i've heard of the good luck thing with bird pooing before. don't buy it either (lol). how could rudegere not like you? feed me popcorn and i'd follow you anywhere. just like a pidgeon. oops, more bird stuff.
