deeply asleep - 10:30 PM
shroom told me more about my very deep sleep last night.
usually, if shroom comes to bed later than me (which is quite often these days) i'll wake up as he's preparing to get into bed. even just switching the lights off in the lounge room & his fairly quiet 'getting ready for bed' noises (fridge door, toilet door) will wake me so that i'm awake before he actually walks into the bedroom.
last night, though, i slept really deeply. i didn't wake when he was getting ready for bed, or even as he got into bed. i did wake up to roll over a few times, as well as going to the loo two or three times, but inbetween those times, i stayed absolutely dead to the world.
i was snoring really loudly so he tried non-stop for about ten minutes to wake me. he tried poking me in the arm (progressively harder, i think) but that didn't work. this morning he even asked if my arm was bruised. lol!
he tried calling my name, "coralie, you're snoring," or to roll over, "coralie, roll over! stop snoring!" he even got quite loud, but that didn't work either.
he tried putting his arm on me, thinking that it might wake me (which it didn't). while he had his hand on my belly he felt rudegere moving around in there. he said that he was moving quite vigorously & was wondering how i stayed asleep during it. in fact, rudegere's never woken me up with his movements, even when i've been sleeping quite lightly.
poor shroom said that he was getting really frustrated because i would simply not wake up, so eventually he began mocking me, loudly copying my snores. he found it rather funny & started laughing out loud, & even that didn't wake me.
he jiggled & jumped & thrashed around on the bed to make it move around a lot & finally i woke & stopped snoring. it must have been only a short wakeful period, just enough for me to roll over perhaps, because i don't even remember it.
i guess i'll have to bask in the glow of that good sleep for a while, because it's the first really decent one i've had since even before i was pregnant & it'll probably be the best one i'll have for quite a while after the baby is born.
Hi there - just a suggestion, Schroom may need to have a sleep in another bedroom for a while. For one thing, he needs his sleep, for another he shouldn't be bothering you so much when you are in a deep sleep (even if you don't know about it). Also, once baby is in his bed - in the same room, you will be up so much and keeping schroom from getting a good night's sleep which he will need when trying to work regularly.
Just a thought.
Poor Shroom!
P.S. You'll have to fix your "remember me" thingee
