some things i'm looking forward to - 08:17 PM
some things i'm looking forward to once the bub is born:
- getting the feeling back in my fingers when this annoying carpal tunnel syndrome goes away.
- .. thus also being able to make a full fist without discomfort.
- rolling over in bed without having to fully wake myself just to manage it & then puffing & panting in exhaustion for a full minute afterwards.
- having stomach muscles which work properly.
- being able to sit up easily from a lying down position.
- being able to get up off the floor without looking like an elephant trying to escape from quicksand.
- being able to bend forward.
- being able to slouch without being kicked at from the inside.
- having the ability to lift my legs past knee height without great difficulty.
- .. thus being able to put on undies, trousers, shoes & socks, etc like a normal person.
- .. & being able to dry my lower legs & feet after a shower without the drama & effort it now involves.
- being able to cut my own toenails.
- having ankles again.
- being able to wear any one of my far-too-many pairs of shoes other than my old boots. (oh please, please let my feet go back to normal size again!)
- being able to wear tiny little baby tees again instead of maternity tents.
- having my belly stick out because i choose to let it, not because the maternity shirts don't quite cover it properly.
- my belly button going back to normal (although it used to look like a little tiny penis, so i'm not exactly sure how normal that is).
- walking instead of waddling.
- having energy for a whole day instead of just three hours (although i imagine this one might have to wait a while until baby settles into some sort of agreeable sleep pattern).
- using the oh-so-cute shaped nappies which i've bought.
- taking our very cool three-wheeler pram out for a test drive.
- looking our cute baby in the face.

You will also realize that you didn't think you could love anything quite so much.

Congratulations to both of you for a nice little boy. It was more than worth the wait, wasn't it ?
Welcome to Rudegere into this world.
