a new year is almost here - 07:11 PM

i've read an entry or two on other people's sites which are summing up the past year. should i write a diary entry doing the same? not sure .. but i've started now, so i guess i'll keep going.

this past year has been really full of ups & downs. shroom & i have been working on making our marriage stronger, my darling little niece, britt, was diagnosed with leaukaemia, riley was born. they're the major things i can think of off the top of my head.

another exciting thing is that dad's wife, tosca, is pregnant! i hadn't mentioned that here yet since i wasn't really sure who knew & it was a bit early & stuff, but i think it's cool to mention it now. so my dad's going to have another baby. of my sister & i, i'm the youngest, so it'll be rather exciting to have a baby brother or sister. tosca will be coming to brisbane with dad in mid-january, so i'll get to see her (& her pregnant belly) then.

oh, how could i forget about buying our own house? shroom already owned a house & a property, but this is the first place we've been in that's totally 'ours', if you know what i mean.

next year will be very exciting. riley will be growing more & more, changing every day. shroom & i will get closer & closer. britt will get better & healthier.

also, i'll be starting my successful career as an enjo lady. i'm quite excited about that. i think that'll i'll do a good job, too, i really think i will.

i guess i'll be doing more baking during the coming year since i've decided that i'd like to learn how to bake. my first effort wasn't too bad. by this time next year i'll be an expert! so far i've only cooked that same cake, twice, but shroom has asked me to try making corn bread to the same recipe as his mum's, so soon i'll be able to add that to my repertoire of yummy things. i also want to try making muffins. i do rather like a nice muffin. maybe i'll try banana cake too.

the coming year is going to be successful, yummy & exciting. i'm really looking forward to it. *smile*

i am a little confused now.. i thought i knew that tosca was pregnant but i don't remember you telling me so i can't figure out how i knew.. did you tell me? i can't imagine having a baby sibling as a grown up.. [often i try not to imagine having semi-grown up siblings *wink* ]

congrats to you both on a great year & i'm sure 2004 will be even better - with riley growing up & you also getting a new brother or sister it certainly is going to be a busy time in your family :o)
