birthday, mothers day, happy days - 10:06 PM

the last couple of weeks have been wonderful. in those two weeks i've celebrated my birthday & today, mothers day.

my very first mothers day started out in a lovely way, lying in bed with my baby & the father of my baby, having what approximates a sleep in. smiley woke up, but shroom sleepily encouraged me to not take him straight out of bed, as i usually do so that we don't disturb shroom. instead, i lay there, slowly waking up, & let smiley crawl all over the bed & me, copping an elbow or two in various places as he clambered all over me, but laughing & having fun. riley spotted shroom as he stirred & made eye contact with him, so he then crawled over to his daddy & clambered all over him, pulling his ear & his hair, poking him in any facial orifice which came near his little fingers. baby love is sometimes violent, but it's always wonderful. *chuckle*

my birthday was celebrated in a few wonderful ways. first, a great early birthday pressie with mon & greg visiting. then the week following my birthday, shroom, smiley & i went to byron bay to stay overnight. we chose a weeknight at the end of a run of public holidays so that it wouldn't be all booked out & too busy. we took smiley up to the light house.

another belated birthday celebration was had with melanie & jade. melanie wrote more about it here. shroom came along, which made it an even nicer time.

i haven't gone into a lot of detail here, because i'm quite tired after a busy weekend, but i really have had some good times recently. *smile*

BTW, your times are wrong.. that says i commeted at 8.25 but it's really 7.25.

Hey, it was my Mum & Dad's 45th anniversary on Mother's day as well....45 years!...they are probably more surprised than anyone!
