first visit back to brissy - 05:26 PM
not this weekend, but the following one, i'll be heading back to brissy & staying with my mum for a few days to visit family & friends. i'll be leaving here on the friday & coming back on the tuesday, so it'll be a decent length visit. i have plans already for each day i'll be there. it's going to be rather a busy time, in fact.
i've arranged as much as possible to kill more than one bird with one stone, to help save on too much driving since the long car trip with smiley can be a bit stressful & two trips in the space of a week will be more than enough driving without adding too much more. straight through it's about three & a half hours to brisbane, but with having to make stops for smiley, it can stretch it out a bit.
i have an appointment in the city on friday, so i'm seeing if melanie & jade would like to come into the city that afternoon also, to catch up with me & also to maybe look after smiley while i'm in my appointment. shroom's parents would also like to see smiley while i'm there, so mum has kindly agreed to have them over to her place for dinner on the sunday evening. arrangements like these help to avoid me driving all over town.
monday's going to be a busy one with three things on that day. i'll be catching up with a friend at her little boy's music lesson, with smiley & i attending as guests. that should be fun. i'll also be dropping into our old house to retrieve the nappy sprayer from the toilet & re-fit the original piece & at the same time meet one of the tenants. i spoke to her the other day & she seems really nice. then that afternoon i have an appointment for smiley.
as well as the appointments & visits i've mentioned, i also have a growing list of things which i have to get while i'm there. things which they don't have in our local shops. most of these i'm sure i could get in bundaberg, but since i'm going to be in 'civilisation' anyway (heh), i may as well take the opportunity to go to shops which i know for sure will stock the items i need. two of these items are motherly cubes for smiley & environmentally friendly laundry powder with no fragrances added.
i have so much planned that i've had to make three notepad pages with the things i have to do. one is a short calendar of appointments, one is a 'to bring' & one is a 'to get'. lol! 
there's still plenty of time most evenings for me to simply relax though, & i'm sure mum will look after her little girl & her favourite grandson while we're there for the relatively short visit. it'll be good. 
why don't you make your own food for him - there must be lots of nice fresh vegies around there, surely, with the farm type land?
