green shopping bags - http://www.bi-lo.com.au/more_info.htm?p1_no=187&p2_no=9908&MDay=False these are the bags which i usually use to do my grocery shopping. i bought mine from coles, not bi-lo, but i think they're the same company anyway because they both have their names on the sides of the bags. they're really roomy & sturdy & have a flat plastic insert at the bottom which makes it better for stacking items than plain calico bags.

they're not as washable as calico & you can't fit them in your pocket, but i quite like them with the good, solid handles. i bought six of them, but with a meduim sized shop (for two of us for a few days) i usually only need to use two to three bags at at time. i leave mine in the car to make sure that i don't forget to bring them with me when i go to do the groceries.

they cost $2.50 each .. not necessarily cheap but excellent value & some of the price helps to support local green groups.

thanks to jade for finding the link for me. *smile*

I think it's quite a reasonable price as they're good quality bags, and it's not like you need a heap of them. I didn't even know that some of the cost of them went to charities when I bought mine, only just found out earlier when I read about them online *smile*
