there's a possibility that we might buy this place. the real estate agent asked me today if we were interested & i said, "no" but when i spoke to shroom about it, he said it might not be a bad idea.
the main reason we don't really like this place is because of the little things which are wrong with it, which could easily be fixed, but won't be because the landlords don't want to spend money on something which is 'just a rental'. if it was ours, we'd spend the money & make it how we want it.
besides, if we spent even just a relatively small amount of money on this place & stayed here for another year or two, the resale value would increase significantly.
i'll be talking to the real estate agent tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes. i'm (trying to be) quietly optimistic & excited.

since i've become pregnant, we've been casually looking at finding a place of our own instead of renting as we are now. looks like we'll need to increase our efforts substantially, because just as i was about to leave the house to look at a couple of properties anyway, the real estate agent arrived with the official bits of paper saying that the owners want to sell this place!
i hope we can find a place soon, because otherwise we'll have to move out to an interim place (if we do have to, we'd probably go to shroom's parents' place) & then move again. moving sucks anyway, without having to do it twice. let's hope we find something soon.

my ankles have been less swollen by night time these last few days than they have been the last few weeks. i wonder if the aqua aerobics (& the prenatal yoga i did yesterday) has been helping? they reckon that moderate exercise is good for getting the blood (& water) flowing.
i wasn't as sore after the second time of aqua aerobics as i thought i'd be. that's good, my body must be getting used to it already. i'm leaving in half an hour for another session. i'm going to look like a real dork today because i'm going to buy a swimming cap. i spend money getting my hair dyed nicely, you see, & i can't imagine that chlorinated water on it three times a week is terribly good for it. better to look like a dork & not ruin my hair.
i guess i'll just avoid the ones with flowers on, so i don't look like a sixty year old. there seems to be some rule that once you get past a certain age you have to dress like a real dag, swimming caps included. not me. i'm not going to be mutton dressed like lamb, but i know there are more stylish things out there, even cheap stuff, if it comes to that when i'm that age.
gosh, what a rambling entry. i went from swollen ankles to swimming caps to old ladies' fashion .. lol!
