there's a possibility that we might buy this place. the real estate agent asked me today if we were interested & i said, "no" but when i spoke to shroom about it, he said it might not be a bad idea.
the main reason we don't really like this place is because of the little things which are wrong with it, which could easily be fixed, but won't be because the landlords don't want to spend money on something which is 'just a rental'. if it was ours, we'd spend the money & make it how we want it.
besides, if we spent even just a relatively small amount of money on this place & stayed here for another year or two, the resale value would increase significantly.
i'll be talking to the real estate agent tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes. i'm (trying to be) quietly optimistic & excited.
You know, not having to move everything while waiting for the baby would be so great. I've found that you can make any place home when it's your own and can do what you want to it. Hope you can work something out.
