since i've become pregnant, we've been casually looking at finding a place of our own instead of renting as we are now. looks like we'll need to increase our efforts substantially, because just as i was about to leave the house to look at a couple of properties anyway, the real estate agent arrived with the official bits of paper saying that the owners want to sell this place!
i hope we can find a place soon, because otherwise we'll have to move out to an interim place (if we do have to, we'd probably go to shroom's parents' place) & then move again. moving sucks anyway, without having to do it twice. let's hope we find something soon.

Ah, a familiar situation! How long have they given you?
As far as timing goes, the problem with buying is that to avoid that interim place, you need to wangle it so the settlement period is short. I'm going through the same thing, and that may be my undoing!
