another place? - 08:52 PM
i looked at two properties today. one of them was quite nice. only a three bedroom place, but it's on two acres, so lots of room to expand if we want to at a later stage. shroom's going to have a look at it on thursday, so we'll see what he thinks. it's a lovely house, has good character & a nice feel to it. thursday will be the decider, once shroom has a look.
since this two acre place looks promising, we're going to leave signing anything to do with the house we're in now, until after shroom has looked at the new possibility to see if it also appeals to him.

I know this will not be greeted well... But here goes!
As I have said before dogs and babies don't mix well. When you just have a dog you think how wonderful they are, loyal, friendly etc... When a new born baby comes along and the dog wants to lick it after you know its just licked the local lamp post... values change very quickly... Sorry, but thats the truth.
And I haven't even mentioned the risk of jealousy... Sorry to be so negative. But sometimes the truth hurts. I mean well... truely

if you don't think it'll be greeted well, then perhaps it's best not said.
i will look after my baby to the best of my ability. i will never let anything endanger my baby, not the dog, not another person, & not, surprisingly enough, over-cleanliness.
studies have shown that children that are over protected from germs are more susceptible to things such as asthma & the like. not allowing their immune system to be 'challenged' means they will fall for the tiniest bug going around. their system simply doesn't develop the proper arsenal of antibodies.
please don't try to tell me what is the truth for me, because you don't know. both sides of my family have had dogs & children for years & with vigilance & proper training there has never been even one scary incident.
aside from all that, your comment is not entirely related to my news posting. perhaps an email would have been more appropriate?
