i looked at two properties today. one of them was quite nice. only a three bedroom place, but it's on two acres, so lots of room to expand if we want to at a later stage. shroom's going to have a look at it on thursday, so we'll see what he thinks. it's a lovely house, has good character & a nice feel to it. thursday will be the decider, once shroom has a look.

since this two acre place looks promising, we're going to leave signing anything to do with the house we're in now, until after shroom has looked at the new possibility to see if it also appeals to him.

i spoke to the real estate agent this morning & made our offer on this place. he'll be coming around tonight with the contract for both of us to look over & sign. we're offering lower than what the vendors are asking for, of course. aside from it being the way you do it, the place isn't really worth what they're asking anyway. if it wasn't such a 'rental' property, it might be worth more. anyone who was an owner/occupier would have spent the money fixing up the little things about this place which would improve the value .. which, of course, we'll do if our offer is accepted & the purchase goes through.

there are two places that i'll be inspecting this afternoon, since we can't simply assume that the owners will accept our offer. if they don't, then it's going to be a bit tight for time, finding a new place before we have to move out of here & before the baby comes.

whatever happens though, will be the right thing. it'll all be good.

what do i do now? - 10:46 AM

i've done the morning things: checked my email, showered, brushed my teeth, dressed .. settled down to the next in line morning things: read some blogs over breakfast, read over some links from other blogs.

so then i think, "what's next?" "ahh! i know," i think some more, "i'll continue to read through the archives at the toxic custard diary of an average australian while i wait for the real estate agent people to come around," which is what i've been doing to fill my spare internet time in the most delightful & amusing way for the past number of weeks, since i was lucky enough to meet the man himself, in person, over lunch, while i was in melbourne a few months ago.

then i remember that i actually finished reading them all, right up to date, last night. oh no! what am i going to do now??
