tragedy has struck. my cow mug, my famous cow mug, has finally died. 
i was about to make hot chocolates this morning for myself & shroom & when i was bringing our mugs over to the kettle, i dropped my cow mug. it landed on one edge, top down & shattered into about thirty pieces, only the base & it's head intact. so i had my first pregnancy emotional overreaction. i started bawling my eyes out. shroom called out from the shower to make sure i was okay. i was, but my poor cow mug isn't. i even had to go & hug him for a few minutes while i cried some more.
maybe there'll be a 'cow mug II', possibly. shroom's mum does pottery so i might try to make another one based on the pieces of this one. this one was really special because my sister bought it for me a long time ago & it's been around for so long. it's been my favourite mug for years.
rest in peace, cow mug.
