see-through belly - 10:07 PM
sometimes, when rudegere moves around a lot, i wish that i could see through my belly to look at what he's doing in there. after having read an article or two about what babies get up to while in the womb, i can just imagine him rolling around or hanging onto the umbilical cord or amusing himself in one way or another. it'd be nice to be able to actually see him doing these things, though. i know i saw him a bit during the ultrasound, but i was rather overwhelmed at seeing him for the first time, so i didn't really get a chance to appreciate it as much as i might if i could look at him for longer & whenever i want to.
i might have to watch the ultrasound video again, i think.
true stories - 09:06 PM
there's a new section up under the 'about stuff' part of the site. well, it's not really new, it's from the old version of ferrousland & i've deemed it amusing enough to include here. it's called 'true stories' & contains, funnily enough, true stories. they're just little anecdotes from my life which stick out in my memory. some are funny, some are serious, some i'm kind of embarrassed to relate.
so anyway, enjoy. as with most parts of ferrousland these days, you can leave your public comments about the stories. you can find it here or use the navigation to the right.
babies are conscious - 06:57 PM
this is a fascinating article on babies & their consciousness inside & outside the womb at an early age, regarding thought, play, pain etc. worth a read if you're interested in that kind of thing.
