laundry ball - 03:32 PM
here's a link to the site for the eco-ball laundry ball thingamy i mentioned a few entries ago. i've ordered the trial pack to start with, which lasts seventy washes & is about $25 (i think, i can't recall now, because it was much cheaper than i thought it would be, so the price surprised me). the full pack lasts some hundreds of washes & is about $78 (again, don't quote me on the number of washes or the price).
please take note, if you call them, that the phone contact on the website has changed. when i rang, a recorded message from telstra gave me a number to call to find out the new phone number. to save you that trouble, here's the correct phone number to call: (03) 5348 7988.
the dollar amounts are australian & the phone number is for calling within australia, of course.
i can't imagine why it won't work as well as my aunty has found it to work, but regardless, i'll let you know how it goes once it arrives.

I'm eager to see how the laundry balls work for you, because I'm reading negative things as well as positive. Found these links while looking for a US distributor of a similar product:

Then I found this dated report stating that laundry balls are a sham. http://weeklywire.com/ww/12-08-97/nash_ol-helter_shelter-original.html
The original law suit stemmed from angry investors apparently, so they may have simply been after a money settlement rather than trying to save the world from a product that doesn't work. Keep us informed!
