braxton hicks or not? - 05:42 PM

i thought that maybe i was getting braxton hicks contractions (they're like practice ones, they reckon) because sometimes my stomach gets really tight & it feels rock hard from the outside. it hasn't hurt me, but it feels pretty damn weird. looking at that babycentre description though (follow the link above) they say it doesn't happen until about eight months. i'm only around six months along.
the other thing which i thought it could be, before i thought it was braxton hicks, is rudegere pushing himself outwards. last night i was sure i could feel his head through my belly. sometimes though, it feels as though he must have his whole back against my belly with his arms & legs braced against the inside somewhere & be pushing as hard as he can. again, it doesn't hurt exactly, but it feels kind of strange & uncomfortable & i have to use my hands to gently encourage him to move to a different position. he's been doing it to me this afternoon.
on a different topic, shroom said i've been snoring something chronic during the night. i don't usually snore, but he said it's full on, big, ripping, snorty snores which then make me stop breathing for a second until i wake up. then i go back to sleep & start again. could be why i'm so tired these past couple of days. i might try raising my head & shoulders a little with an extra pillow to see if that makes any difference. poor shroom has been kept awake with it, so for his sake & mine i'll have to try to stop it. as with lots of pregnancy symptoms though, i'm betting it'll stop after a couple of weeks.
