not moving very much - 07:03 AM
rudegere hasn't been moving very much just lately. when i went to bed last night & he didn't start jumping around within five minutes, as he usually does, i realised that i hadn't felt any major movement, if any movement, all day. i lay still in various positions last night to see if he would move at all, but i only felt the lightest of movements, nothing compared to the usual strong kicks & punches.
i lay awake for most of the night worrying about him.
this morning i talked to him as i was making my cup of tea & told him that i would make a nice strong one & that if he didn't move much, then i was going to make an appointment to see the doctor just to make sure we could still hear his heartbeat. he responded with a couple of light hits to the inside. that's something, i guess.
so i've finished my tea & he hasn't jumped around. even though i did feel very light movement last night & once this morning, i think i will make an appointment to see the doctor, just to make sure. perhaps he's just having a lazy couple of days, but if i can make my worry go away with a simple gp appointment, then i may as well do it & if there's nothing to worry about, then all well & good.
what she said. and also that i think babies like to do stuff sometimes to make you worry.
hope rudy's ok! tell her that auntie jade said to kick mummy a big one to make her feel better
::hugs:: let me know when you get back from the docs.
well, the doc rang & said i could see him at 8:45am, but shortly after that i felt definite movement from rudegere. i feel satisfied now, so i rang back to cancel the appointment. *phew!*
so much worry over such a little tyke .. i'm glad he's okay.

It's normal for activity to decrease during a "growing spurt". There also comes a point when the babe has less room to move in and has to adjust his or her movement pattern accordingly. Go ahead and get checked, but keep in mind that Rudegere won't always be knocking about in there like you expect.
