mammoth effort today from the big, fat pregnant lady 
.. five boxes packed! it doesn't sound like a lot, but when your body doesn't work the way it usually does, five boxes (including three large ones) is a good effort. i'm pretty happy with that.
i'd like to pack some more, because i was kind of hoping to get it all finished tonight so that shroom could have a proper weekend for once (he's been working most weekends) & not have anything to pack, but i can't do any more. i probably could do perhaps one more if i pushed myself, but i think that i might suffer tomorrow morning if i do. since there are more boxes to pack tomorrow (maybe only four or five more to finish the lot) then stopping now is a better idea. i don't want to be so sore tomorrow that i can't help shroom.

i just got the vacating procedures out of the letter box from the real estate agents. most of the requirements will be covered by the house cleaners, carpet cleaners & the pest control, but one thing which i'll have to do is wash the curtains.
yuck!!!
i don't want to wash the bloody curtains! it's going to be a huge job! for a start, they can't go in the machine, so i have to hand wash them in the bath tub. do you know how heavy a massive curtain for a large sliding door will be when it's wet? there's no way i can lift that on my own. i'm not sure how i'm going to be able to do this.
mum's on holiday next week, so i might have to beg some help from her, because it'll take me all day & i really don't think that with my huge pregnant belly & total absence of stomach muscles, that i can do it all on my own.
edit: *phew!* i spoke to mum & she's able to help me with the curtains on monday. this is a huuuuge relief. there's no way that i'd be able to do it on my own. i have only the one day which it can be done, you see, on a weekday, & it would cost us more than it's worth for shroom to take the day off work to help me wash curtains. i'm much happier about this now.

ahhhh .. my shoulder just clicked. this is a good thing. the deltoid muscles in each shoulder/arm have given me trouble for a long time (it must be something i was born with, because they seem to take turns hurting in some kind of order which only they know. excercise, or lack of it, doesn't seem to make a difference one way or the other), but they've mostly been under control since i've been seeing a good chiropractor regularly. some strange pregnancy hormone seems to have made them flare up again in a big way. they spasm while i'm sleeping & hurt like buggery, so much so that the pain wakes me up.
usually if they hurt like this for any decent length of time it begins to affect my shoulders too. one night i may then roll over onto my arm, the shoulder will give a crack or a click & the pain is gone. there's been no clicking & cracking while the nasty pregnancy hormones have been doing their dastardly deeds though, no matter how much rolling around i engage in.
except for now. i finally remembered to get some deep heat type stuff (metsal, actually) to rub on my arm. i chose the arm which happens to be hurting the most. only about half an hour has passed since i rubbed the stuff on & it's relaxed the muscle enough for my shoulder to click all on its own. it feels a lot better already.
i think i might bathe in the stuff tonight before i go to bed. no, no .. i'm joking. i'm not really going to do that. i will be putting a bit onto each arm though, so i might actually be able to get a decent sleep. big day tomorrow & sunday (we're moving house on sunday, remember) so a couple of good sleeps will come in handy.

last night rudegere semed to be making up for not moving very much the last day or so. i think he was disco dancing. there were feet & hands & elbows all over the place ..
