we're hee-ere! - 08:06 PM

we made it! we're in our new house!

i've just got back from the shops with some dinner. there's not really much food in the house, since i was trying to keep the fridge contents to a minimum, & there are no cooking utensils unpacked yet, so it was take-away tonight. not too unhealthy though. went to a chicken shop & bought a whole chook, a chicken, bacon, pineapple & cheese burger (with real chicken on it), chips, coleslaw & a pineapple fritter. very tasty, indeed. *smile*

we unpacked & set up our bed, our computers & i gave the kitchen a bit of a clean. i got the fridge repacked (& hinged to the opposite side. it's one of those which you can change which side the fridge door opens. for something you would assume is meant to be easy, it wasn't terribly simple at all .. still, all done now) & we got the dog all comfy with his stuff too.

we have internet, but only dialup so far & we have to take turns until we get networked properly. we had an isdn phone line installed (a digital line) so that we can get dov/isdn internet. that's not set up yet, but we'll just use the dialup in the meantime.

so all the important things are taken care of. we have the ability to keep our food cold in the fridge, our bodies warm in bed & our minds entertained with internet. what more could we possibly want? *wink*

You know, its funny. When I moved from my home town in New Mexico, to Seattle, Washington, I had already set up an internet account before I even had a place to live. *wink* Just goes to show where MY priorities are. *wink*
