i'm becoming a bit of a casual with the friday five it seems. i like the questions this week. hmm it is sunday, not friday, but hey, do i look worried? 
- do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
her name is carolyn. used to be carolyn seto then her mum remarried & it changed to gail, i think. that was a long time ago when i was grade in one. she was really nice.
- are you still in touch with this person?
the last time i heard from her was when she sent me a picture of herself with her new baby sister. that was at least ten years ago, at a guess. we lost contact, unfortunately. i'd love to know what she's up to these days. possibly has a partner & children herself by now.
- do you have a current close friend?
yes, but i hardly get to see her due to circumstances. i miss her friendship a lot. hopefully one day we can be good friends again.
- how did you become friends with this person?
online, of course, like most of the people i now count as friends.
- is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? why?
aside from the one friend i mentioned above, not really. there is one other friend whom i would originally liked to have stayed friends with, but she decided that she didn't want to be friends with me anymore. the reasons she gave (only after i finally tracked her down to find out what on earth had happened to her) were that i wasn't interested in her problems & that my supposed obsession with piercings bothered her. after that surprising revelation i was a little less impressed with her.
