meeting the neighbours - 05:42 PM

one of the neighbours invited us over to her house for afternoon tea, so we went over there this afternoon at about 2:30pm. it was quite nice, she seems like a nice lady, her boyfriend a decent & normal guy, too, & her thirteen year old son is a bit of a laugh.
i'd spoken to her previously over the fence about the lawn here & how we didn't have a ride-on lawn mower yet. she said that her son would always be willing to do it on their ride-on for a bit of pocket money, so when he mentioned it today we teed it up with him to do it tomorrow. shroom asked, "how much are you charging?" & he responded with, "how much are you paying?" *chuckle* clever kid.
