chocolate ice cream - 01:03 PM

i'm considering having a fourth chocolate ice cream. how bad is that? i've done so well to not put on any excess weight while i've been pregnant, but this certainly isn't the way to keep that trend going. eh, it's not like i do it every day. let's put it down to pregnancy cravings: i need another chocolate ice cream, you see. *chuckle*

car seat covers part two - 12:39 PM

i got half way through the second seat cover & will have to leave the rest for shroom, just as i thought. even if they're not quite fitted properly yet, they sure are rather comfortable to sit & rest in for half an hour while you think about if you really can do any more or not. heh! *chuckle*

car seat covers part one - 11:26 AM

pregnant bodies were not designed to be fitting car seat covers. *puff! puff! pant!* i'm half way through fitting the first one. i may have to do what i can, then get shroom to crawl around in tight spaces to do up buckles & use his non-carpal tunnelly hands to push bits in where bits have to be pushed in.

the plan for today - 08:20 AM

aside from doing a few things around the house, the main thing i have to achieve today is to get the car totally ready for giving back to dad after i pick him & tosca up from the airport (i have to leave the house at 5am .. argh!!). there's not too much to do now, since the smash repairs guys cleaned it up on the inside & gave it a polish on the outside. i did notice an empty small bottle of coke under the driver's chair though & about three dead leaves which have floated under there, so it will require a quick check over.

aside from that, i'll have to take out anything of mine which has been put into the boot, which includes the reusable shopping bags i bought a while ago. they were sitting behind the drivers seat (thus me not knowing the bottle of coke was there. it's not usually full of junk like that) but i assume the smash repairs guys moved all that sort of stuff into the boot when they cleaned it.

i also have to put on the car seat covers which i bought yesterday. they were meant to be on there ages & ages ago to protect the spot on the side of the driver's seat which has worn away from when anyone slides in there. they're bucket seats you see (i think that's what they're called. i'm not really into cars that much to know if that's the proper name) & perhaps since i'm so small it happens more that my back rubs against the side as i slide in because i have to have the seat so far forward. not a terribly good design if you ask me. it stopped wearing away eventually, although since i've had it, it started out with a hole in the fabric cover already & more & more of the foam rubber wore away.

so i got some really nice sheep skin covers for it. should look lovely once they're on. especially since they're so new & fluffy. *smile*
