oh my gosh it's cold! - 05:00 AM

i'm almost ready to leave to pick up dad & tosca from the airport. i've started the car & have the heat going full blast to melt the ice (yes, ice) from the windscreen before i go. my hands are so cold just from being out there for a minute or two while i opened the gate. brrrrr! i'm so glad i left the heater on inside the house overnight. it's still a bit cold inside (compared to being tucked up nice & warm in bed) but it's a a hell of an improvement to outside. a 15.1 degree (celcius) improvement, in fact. it's only 0.5 degrees outside. at least the car will be nice & warm when i get into it in a few more minutes.
