more woes - 07:44 AM
just to add to my woes, the common pregnancy symptom of crampy calf muscles was triggered nicely when i woke with a start this morning from mcgarnicle jumping up at the side of the bed. my right calf muscle cramped up in such a big way that i was immediately awake, saying, "ow! ow! ow! ow! ow! ow!" i woke up poor shroom with my flailing & ow'ing who i think might have thought i was going into labour since he grabbed at my belly & began to rub it, until i threw my leg at him & he quickly massaged the cramp away.
it's still a bit sore now. as if i could get back to sleep after that .. now i have to kind of limp on it. i gave it a rub with some natural relaxing type oils but i think i might have to stretch it out a bit. i'm nervous about doing that in case it cramps up again, though.
i'm dirty at mcgarnicle now because i blame him. he then had the gall to not actually want to go outside when i got up to open the door for him, but about one minute later when i sat down he started whining to go out again! then he starts barking at the neighbourhood & making a nuisance of himself!
naughty dog.
damn cold.
i think i had such a good weekend that i'm now suffering from a 'happiness hangover'.
sounds like a monday morning to me. are you getting short on potassium?
or calcium... calcium deficiency can also cause cramps.
i did that with the cramp. it was one going up the back of my leg through my buttocks and into my back. i had it quite often but one particular morning it struck just as i'd stood up and i yelled and grabbed onto the chest of drawers and daniel woke up panicking that i was in labour
a hot pack on the crampy area can help.. have you tried that? hope it's feeling better by now anyway.
