chookies are doing well - 08:11 AM

i checked on the chooks this morning, as usual. they're doing well & growing at a rate of knots! i can see that they're bigger already since we brought them home last weekend. i'd say they're at least a few centimetres taller than they were. no wonder they eat so much if they're growing that fast.
i took the dog in there with me while i just hung around & watched for about fifteen minutes or so (interspersed with a bit of coughing & holding of sore ribs, ouch). they seem to be getting more used to him. they sometimes run away when he puts his nose near them & then he chases them a bit, but after the third or so time they'll just stand there while he sniffs them. if he's standing fairly still then they'll stand around under his legs & not seem to care that he's there.
mcgarnicle seems to really enjoy eating their chook poo. mmmmyummm .. *shudder* .. blah!

How McGarny's behaving doesn't surprise me for a bit with my parents having a dog and chooks too
And there are worse things a dog can do .. rolling over in cow poo, eating a not so fresh rabbit's carcass found beside the road *shudder!!*
