unsettling news - 10:02 AM

i've just had some rather unsettling news from tosca, my dad's wife. she & dad are on their way to melbourne & visited mon & greg (my sister & brother-in-law) & their two girls on the way down. they left there a day or so ago. anyway, tosca left a message on the machine to ring them on the mobile. i'd been trying since yesterday afternoon but they were in an area with no mobile service.
i finally got onto tosca this morning & heard the news. britt, monnie's youngest, turning four soon, is in the hospital. she's been a bit sick lately what with colds & a virus or two doing the rounds. she's not been getting better so she had some tests. they showed that she has low everything, low haemoglobin, low this, low that .. so they put her into hospital in isolation in case it's a contagious virus.
that's the best case scenario. worst case is that it could be leukaemia! they're doing more tests today so i guess they'll find out tonight or tomorrow what's going on. i'm really worried. 
please keep her & my sister & brother-in-law in your thoughts today & pray or do whatever you do. kelsey is her big sister (she's turning six soon) & she loves britt to bits & pieces so i imagine she'll be worried too, as much as she would be able to understand what's going on. please keep them all in your thoughts.
We're praying that the tests show that this illness is temporary and not serious. There are so many viral illnesses that can make a child quite ill, so we'll hope and pray this is one of those and she can recover. Hang in there and have faith. Children are such fighters!

Oh no Coralie! I hope it's just some virus that will go away soon. I'm keeping them in my thoughts and sending some hugs and strength their way.
