a day or so ago, i received a gift voucher for the baby (purchased via the details posted in the about section under 'the baby') from one of my lovely internet friends. i'm thinking that i might hold back on spending it yet, just in case more are purchased for the bub, then i can add them up & have more choice as to what i choose for rudegere. 
i had an idea the other day, too, in regard to gifts for rudegere. i've purchased three different styles of shaped nappies (since i've decided to use washable cloth nappies rather than disposable) to see which one i like the best. i won't really be able to tell until i start to use them on the bub, but i figured that once i decide which ones i like the best, if anyone has wanted to buy a gift, but has held back for one reason or another, then buying one of these nappies or two would be a really lovely & very practical gift. they're not cheap at all compared to the normal flat, cloth nappies, but they're still a huge saving (financially & environmentally) compared to disposables. depending on which style i choose to use, they cost around about the $20 mark each, & less i think, if you buy more than just one at a time.
i'll make mention of it in the online baby shower post in the meantime, & then update it once i've decided which nappy suits us & the baby best. i have an idea already which one seems best, but i think i'll leave my final decision until i've actually experienced using all three styles.
