fat feet: cankles - 07:48 PM

my feet are so fat at the moment. i've been retaining so much water over the past week or so. more so than i have previously. the other evening, they puffed up so suddenly that i called the hospital to check that i wasn't suffering from pre-eclampsia. my mum had eclampsia (which is what it turns into) with both my sister & i, so there's a history of it. i wanted to be sure. i was fine anyway, since i wasn't suffering from any of the other symptoms which can go along with it, but i'm glad that i checked.
shroom calls the fat ankles 'cankles', because you can't tell where the calves stop & the ankles begin. when i show him my fat ankles & feet he calls me 'cankly girl' .. lol! 
they really are bad at the moment. i could barely get my (previously very roomy) shoes on this morning. i'm wearing no shoes now. the top of my feet are actually rounded & my toes look like pale little pork sausages. it feels weird if i try to bend my toes forward, or lift my feet up towards my legs.
it was a relatively warm day today, so maybe that's why they're particularly bad now. far out .. imagine if i'd been pregnant during the thick of summer?!! it doesn't seem to help all that much, but i think i'll lie down & put my feet up to try to relieve them a bit.

ahh, that's better. i just had some yummy food & i'm feeling a little less cranky than i was beforehand. i had corn on the cob, steamed so that it's still crunchy, with butter on it. *smacks lips several times*
