this is possibly tmi (too much information), but i don't think that my bowels are coping very well with being all crowded up. maybe this is to prepare me for changing really gross nappies .. lol!

these days, every time i call shroom at work & the call is diverted through to the switchboard if he's on the phone or away from his desk, they always ask, "you're not, are you??" wondering if i'm calling to tell him i'm going into labour.
he said he's already tired of them asking him every day if i've had the kid yet. he reckons he's not going to tell them when it does happen & eventually someone will realise that i'd be about fifty-three weeks pregnant & that i must surely have popped by then. he's a cheeky boy. *chuckle*
chooks got out - 08:53 AM

mcgarnicle seemed a little more interested than usual in the gate near the chook shed this morning as shroom & i had a morning tea & hot milo each out on the porch before he left for work (yes, it is really nice to be able to sit out there in the morning). i wondered why, momentarily, until a few minutes later when the chooks suprised us by marching onto the porch to join us.
one has escaped before, but for all six to get out was rather unusual. once shroom left for work, i went out to the shed to see what the deal was. they had some fresh (although probably in reality they were over ripe) tomates & an old head of lettuce in there, none of which were there previously, so i assume that the lady next door had come over to give them to the chooks (as we agreed was fine) but had then somehow not closed the gate properly, because it wasn't latched shut. not a big deal, really, because the chooks seem to enjoy hanging out on the porch & have never tried to 'run away', so to speak. now that i think about it, i'll betting that she actually sent her son over to put them in there on his way to the school bus & he didn't take the time to make sure it was closed properly.
they're currently sitting happily on the window sill. i think they'd stay there for quite a while if i left them to it. maybe i should ..

still enjoying being pregnant - 08:40 AM

despite the physical discomforts & some wishful thinking, i'm still enjoying being pregnant. i like feeling the baby move around inside me. as long as he's not poking me too hard it's still nice to feel him shift around, knowing that he's pretty happy inside there, albeit a little cramped.
