i'm home & a name - 02:11 PM
i write this as a different woman from the one that left the house last thursday. i'm now a mummy! woo hoo!
in fact, i'm doing mum-duty as food supplier & he's on the boob right now as i type. i'm even able to type with two hands since i have him in the baba sling i bought a few weeks ago. it's excellent. i'm just going to have to make sure i don't try to overadjust my posture while using it & change shoulders regularly. he looks pretty damn comfortable.
we've also finally chosen a name for him. we did it just before we left the hostpital.
our new baby boy's name is riley. we haven't chosen a middle name yet, but at least we can call him something other than 'scrunchface' & 'sweet baby boy'. we're still getting used to using his name, but i really like it.
i'm about to head out to the shops with him for his first outing (other than taking him home from the hospital). after being cooped up in hospital for five days, i'm keen to go & get out somewhere other than inside a room or a house. it's only a short trip, mainly to get him just a few items of clothing which will fit him. the stuff i bought for him was size 000, but he's going to need at least 0000. the triple zero is far too big!
anyway, i'm going to pack the nappy bag & go. i'll write a diary entry soon to tell you all about my adventures.
Riley, i like that name...Riley Rudegere..hehe, he is beautiful Coralie.
ooh, i like it!
stephanie just came home from kinder a few minutes ago and got stuck right into the playdough. she made a ball and came in and told me "dat's corri's baby," so i told her that he has a name now and that his name is riley. "his name iss wiiiley," she said. "i yike dat."
welcome home
ok, now she just came and gave me a ball of playdough which is for you. "iss for corri next week." i asked was it for you or the baby, and she said, "no, iss not for da baby, iss for corri, i dib it her next week." and i have been ordered to hold it in my hand.
