just a quick update to let you know i'm still alive & well. shroom's been lookng after me so well. he's the best. i love him so much.
riley's been taking up most of my time today. we had a better night last night since i managed to get a nap in earlier in the night thanks to shroom looking after riley & settling him for a good hour after a few grizzles. so the night time feeds weren't quite as hard on me since i'd had more sleep.
did my first load of baby washing today. the whole load was full of nappies, breastpads, shoulder rags (the hand towels which i've been using to put over my shoulder when he's got air in his tummy & i burp him, though of course, he chooses to have a spew during the three seconds which i switch him over to the other shoulder) & various other bits to deal with my leaky body after having a baby. as we were folding it out of the dryer, i thought, "wow, can you tell we have a baby now?" 
heh. it was a nice feeling.
the bottom wipes i made from the nappies & the chamomile tea bottom wipe wash have been doing a great job. it's nice to know exactly what i'm putting on my baby's skin. no horrible chemicals with long names here. 
okay, time to move on & do more riley stuff. i just have to sew some nappies together to put under his head on the cot to catch small vomits. should be time for another feed for him by then, then bed time for both of us, i suspect.
