rugby world cup - 08:44 PM
the rugby world cup is on tonight. someone in the international rugby governing body people (whatever they're called) had a whinge about the australians singing "waltzing matilda" at the matches & said that they shouldn't do it since it's not our offical national anthem.
obviously nobody ever told this guy that the last thing you ever do is tell an aussie not to do something, because it'll just make them even more determined to do it. i'm not a real sport watcher, but we're actually watching this tonight. i'm mainly watching it to see how many times the crowd will sing waltzing matilda just to piss off the official body who told them not to do it ..
It could be worse... They could be singing that well known Oz cultural song "Tie me kangaroo down sport"

maybe he feels that he is the "international rugby FAN governing body" what an odd thing to go off on.
