i haven't been able to keep up with monica as much as i was before, since her mornings are the best time to call her but my mornings are quite busy. i've only been able to talk to her about once a week. my mum's been sending out updates via email & in this latest one the news isn't so good. she's back in hospital. to save me retyping it, i'll quote mum's email:

"[.. snip ..] last weekend, Kelsey and Greg caught a flu which Britt picked up. It put her back into hospital with a viral infection and a shadow on her lungs. Britt and Monica have been in the isolation ward since then. The doctors are trying to prevent pneumonia by stopping chemo, giving her oxygen, increasing the antibiotics, and injecting GSCF daily (a booster drug that builds neutrophil levels faster). Britt will also have to sleep in a semi sitting position until she improves."
