well, he's not asleep, but he's not crying for food either. he's lying on our bed (my attempt to keep him asleep when he fell asleep after a lie down feed) waving his arms around & making little noises. he could probably do with some mental stimulation, but my mental state needs looking after for a few minutes first. i need this short break.

i'm feeling a bit of strain around my stomach muscles tonight when i get up from a sitting postion. i didn't have a bigger day than usual (although i did manage to clean the bathroom today & did two loads of washing when there's usually only one) so perhaps i'm just a little more tired than i usually am. not sure why, because i did get my nap today.

i don't know if it's because i expressed too much today (perhaps double what i've done before, but still only about 120mls) or if riley's just going through a stage where he needs more milk than he has previously, but he's still hungry & it seems both boobs are pretty well empty. empty enough for him to not stay on them for longer than a few minutes. actually he did stay on once each side (after having to leave him cry from hunger for about half an hour to allow my supply to refresh a little) until he fell asleep, but he was awake again pretty much straight away after each one. he's awake now & i think he still wants more.

one of the steristrips has come off my caesarian scar .. woo hoo! they told me that i should leave them until they come off on their own, so it's finally begun. yay!
