he is sleeping for so long! if i knew he was going to have such a long sleep, i would have stayed in bed & gone to the shops later. oh well. he's stirring a bit now, so he might be up soon.

i was considering going back to bed for more afternoon nap, but shroom's still in there & riley has shuffled half way across my side of the bed. besides, i saw him stirring a bit before, so if i go back to bed, he'll probably wake up hungry & i won't be able to sleep anyway. best to just leave it & enjoy some more 'me' time while i can.
i just checked on him & shroom's pulled the sheet up to cover riley a bit. he must have thought he was getting a bit cold. so cute.

shroom's decided to take the week off work! he woke up this morning & said he should take the week off since he's been working really hard lately & hasn't had a holiday for a really long time. i agreed but then he began to get dressed for work anyway. i did some fast talking & he decided that he would in fact ring his boss & ask for the week off. he said yes! yay!

a magpie was just outside on the porch trying to peck at an electrical extension cord rolled up & lying on the table. it's about five or more metres long. good luck trying to take that back to the nest!

no wonder he wakes me up in the mornings once he starts to stir. when he's 'working it all out' (trying to make his belly process everything he's eaten lately, or, in less delicate terms, filling his nappy) he grunts & groans & strains & squirms & goes all red in the face. it's really funny to watch .. lol!
impossible to sleep through though, he's so noisy about it!
