i hope sherry doesn't mind, but i'm going to steal her idea because it's such a good one. she wrote:

Seriously. If you read me, take a second and tell me why. I'm curious as to what makes people come back, what makes people read me on a regular basis. Why?"

riley's going through a stage where after every session on the boob, he must squirm & grunt & wave his arms & legs around in the air for at least ten minutes, but sometimes, like last night from about 4:15am, for at least half an hour. even a week ago he used to just fall off the boob when he finished a night feed & then he'd stay fast asleep. i preferred that. oh well.
now i simply have to lie him down somewhere to do his thing while he squirms & squirms, because it's actually quite difficult to hold him while he's thrashing around so enthusiastically.

it's been quiet again, sort of like last time, but after checking my stats, the number of my visitors aren't down, just the number of people emailing me or leaving comments.
the internet is a funny old place. it seems to go through stages like that. people will be really actively interacting for a while, then suddenly they all go a bit quiet. i've done the same i suppose. some days i'll leave comments on everyone's blogs or journals, then i'll go for a week or two where i still read them all, but don't have much to say.
me? not much to say? that's pretty amazing.
