the stitch - 08:28 AM
i had my six week follow up appointment with my obstetrician yesterday & he pulled out the stitch from my scar for me. i assumed it was only tiny, but as he pulled it out it rather hurt & just kept going & going. i kind of shrieked, "how long is that thing?!" & he showed me. it was about an inch & a half long!! the way it pulled from the inside & the way i was over-tired when i discovered it & was imagining that it was connected to some major internal organs, i'm really glad that i didn't try to pull it out myself. i would definitely have come a lot closer to fainting if i'd pulled & watched it as it kept coming out & coming out & coming out. *shudder*
That's how I was after my gall bladder was removed. There was this one stitch, supposedly disolvable, that wouldn't budge. I had to touch it, tug on it, pull it. It finally came out and I nearly fainted. Gross doesn't begin to describe it.

I thought this was so funny. Reading your other post when you were playing with it and tugging on it, just reminded me so much of an old best friend from long ago. You have such a neat imagination.
I'm glad it all came out ok though. And wasn't connected to any internal organs.
