immunisations - 06:54 PM

riley had his first set of immunisations today. he cried when the needles went in on each thigh, first one, then the other one. he did that really red-faced, wide-mouthed cry which goes for about ten seconds but only has sound for about the first two seconds. poor little thing. i felt so sorry for him, but he handled them very well.

mummy handled them well, too. i watched as he was given them, although i couldn't see the first needle go in because of the angle of the doctor's hands.

as soon as both needles were done, i put riley on the boob & he had a good solid feed. then he fell asleep & stayed that way for a while. he hasn't seemed to suffer from a fever or anything, & aside from sleeping perhaps a little more than usual, everything has seemed normal, so i'm very pleased.

Oh I hope he's ok. Hayden was fine with the first lot of jabs and miserable with the second lot. **hugs** for Riley and his brave Mummy!
